Administration section
 

The shift (SHIFT) and control (CTRL) keys can be used.

To create a project, you need at least one module and one chapter.

The Import file function can be used only for PowerPoint, Word or Excel files.

To import a PowerPoint file, double-click the .pps file and the animation starts. When you double-click the .ppt files, the PowerPoint application is launched.

To modify the content of the .pps files , you have to return to Windows, launch PowerPoint, and then open with PowerPoint the .pps file, which is located in the media_files folder.

All the PowerPoint files (.pps, .ppt), video files (.avi, .mov) and External application launched from a "Link toward" have to be located in the media_files folder coresponding to your current project.

You may add sound to a PowerPoint file only using the PowerPoint application.

To share the project with a third person you have to include the imediapresent.exe file, the media_files folder and/or the files with .mpj extension (the project file).

To update a module, chapter or screen you have to copy/paste by opening each of the 2 desired projects (Project A : copy– and then Project B : paste)

Edit section
 

The delete (DEL), enter (ENTER), keys can be used.

The Link torward page option cannot launch PowerPoint files. To launch a PowerPoint file using this function, you have to use the external file option.

The sound is inserted using the Insert from the menu, Sound option. You cannot import sound using the import media option.

The maximum number of media supported by a screen is 30.

You can click the text from the Link toward function (blue and underlined text) only in the Presentation section.

The background transparency from the text area cannot be changed. It is induced by Macromedia Director.

All imported graphic files (.jpg, .bmp, .gif : image ; .swf: fichier flash ; .avi, .mov : vidéo) have to be located in the media_files folder of your project.

Presentation section
 

Here are the keyboard shortcuts used during the presentation:

  • Return: starts animations on current screen
  • LeftArrow/ UpArrow/ PageUp : previous screen
  • RightArrow /DownArrow /PageDown : next screen
  • ESCAPE : return to administration section

If multiple animations are on the main screen (see the Edit section), the animations launch out at the same time.

After closing an application started from the Link toward function and Extern option, the return to iMediaPRESENT is made through Windows environment.

To share the project with a third person you have to include the imediapresent.exe file, the media_files folder and/or the files with .mpj extension ( the project file ) and/or the files with .mpz extension (the presentation file)

To visualize a presentation, you have to launch the imediapresent.exe then to open a project(.mpj) and the presentation (.mpz)

The first launch of a presentation with multiple screens takes a few time before starting. This will not happen again after repeted launches.

Translation
 
The translation process doesn't concern the texts integrated in static images (jpg, bmp, gif), or videos , or flash files.

Windows <> iMediaPRESENT environment
 

The combination keyboard shortcuts (alt + double arrow leftward) do not function if there is no opened project (or Windows window ), other then iMediaPRESENT.

The Windows key makes possible to return to the Windows environment.

iMediaPRESENT does not distinguish between Delete or Windows (logo Windows) keyboard shortcuts. When you click on the Windows key, the application asks you to confirm the deletion, and you have to choose Cancel.

Installation of iMediaPRESENT starting from the Windows menu Start, Programs option.

The possibility to engrave the files on a CDROM in order to publish and distribute them.
